How to choose a headshot photographer

-check their previous work. Doe sit align with the look your trying to achieve. Every photographer has their own way of doing things as well as final products/ edits so make sure you like the way they shoot and edit their photos.

-check reviews ,if any it snot a red flag to not see any reviews only due to the fact that some people want to keep their photographers to themselves. Ive met and seen people not filling out a review to keep their photographers prices within their range. But  does the photographer have their clients tagged or videos of them during the headshot session. If they are missing all three then something may be up.

-what does the headshot session include and when will photos be delivered? Certain photographers will charge you a set price for both the shoot and the edits that will be derived however there are other photographers that charge upfront for the shoot. Then an additional cost per photo. Make sure the photographer explains what is included before the shoot and an estimated turn around time for images. If they miss the time by a day or two that is no issue however anything over 3 days without an explanation or heads up is unacceptable!!

-check if they have their own studio or do outdoor headshots. Just to know what you’re getting yourself into. Some studios are better looking and feeling than others!

-when reviewing their work see if they photograph a specific gender more than another .
